Growth should not be a goal itself. However, compounding (ongoing accelerating) growth is the ultimate evidence, that your company are creating value for customers, employees, suppliers, communities and shareholders.

Another perspective is, if your company is not growing – it´s dying. Understood in the way, that only if you have an ambitious growth strategy, you will be forced to ask all those nasty questions about how you will have to change, in order to fulfill the ambitious target.

The last perspective is that nothing have the huge impact on your company’s valuation (price tag in connection to an exit) than compounding profitable growth. Actually, the price can be the double if your company is growing compared to a flat stable performance, even if the two companies have same revenue and profitability.
